Chapter 995 - 413: The First City in the Sky (Part 3)
Upon the Crystal Throne, indeed, there was a sculpture resembling a giant dragon.
The two sides below the throne were so vast and empty.
A variety of crystal murals were embedded around; even the floor was paved with a material as transparent as white jade.
Everyone was stunned in place by the scene.
They had arrived as if at a gathering place of the gods.
In a trance, they seemed to see the scene that once was here.
A massive Crystal Giant Dragon, several times bigger than Ulu Liwus, covered with a majestic crystal mantle.
He was perched on the throne, gazing down at the existences below.
On either side were various gigantic creatures.
Giants, dragons, anomalies, Divine.
Humans, like ants, and Dragonmen, stood around them in their respective places.
It seemed to be a scene from its most glorious era.
Such an illusion dissipated in an instant.
Everyone’s minds slightly returned.
"Descendants, come over."
This voice sounded again, the words altering, and in a daze, they seemed to see that the giant dragon atop the throne spoke once more.
Yet there was nothing on the throne.
Ulu Liwus slowly walked across the hall, his heavy footsteps echoing loudly in the vast space.
This creature, barely an adult dragon, stopped beneath the throne.
He raised his head, looking towards the throne.
Alka and the others arrived behind Ulu Liwus, gazing at the empty throne.
A gentle breeze seemed to pass by.
As the breeze blew, a grand majestic figure appeared on the throne.
The dragon they had just seen in the illusion appeared once more, sprawling majestically on the enormous Crystal Throne.
The crystal’s radiance illuminating his slightly ethereal form.
The colossal dragon head lowered slightly, gazing at Alka and them, before staring at Ulu Liwus in front of them.
"Descendant, you’ve arrived."
Seeing this majestic figure and hearing his authoritative voice, Ulu Liwus slightly lowered his head in respect.
Alka and the others also slightly bowed their heads.
"Tens of thousands of years have passed, and you, descendant, have finally arrived before me."
As he spoke, a clear wave of emotion appeared in his words.
Suddenly, his voice turned grave: "Look at me, descendant, do you remember your inherent duty? Do you remember the responsibility flowing through your veins? Do you recall the burden this world has placed upon you?"
Ulu Liwus lowered his head: "I remember my inherent duty, I carry the responsibility flowing through my bloodline, I bear the weight the world has placed upon me."
"Will you commit to it?"
"I will commit to it, Grandfather."
"Very well, descendant, my child’s child."
Saying this, the creature’s majesty seemed to lessen somewhat, his tone softening.
He extended his dragon claw, though its gentle movement passed through Ulu Liwus’s head, as all was just an illusion.
Yet the dragon seemed unperturbed, continuing to gaze at Ulu Liwus.
"Remember your duty, descendant. Now take your Warrior, and receive the final inheritance."
As he finished speaking, the crystal throne radiated a dazzling light, and the surrounding crystal murals glowed as well. These lights converged in the center of the hall, where layers of crystal spread, transforming the entire hall into a crystal world.
The multi-faceted crystals reflected everyone’s appearance.
In the center, where it was frozen, an extremely smooth crystal thin layer appeared.
But the surface of the thin crystal layer rippled like water, and none could see the other side of it, only an endless crystal space.
Ulu Liwus turned to look at the thin layer, then turned to Jason.
"Let’s go, Warrior."
Jason seemed to understand, nodding, exhaling deeply. After glancing at Alka and the others, he followed Ulu Liwus to the thin crystal layer.
The two passed through the crystal surface together and disappeared.
Alka and the others stood there, puzzled by what lay before them, yet they did not ask further questions.
Turning to look at the throne behind them.
Upon the throne.
The enormous figure still lingered there, unwavering.
He lowered his gaze towards Alka and them, who remained standing still.
"Tell me, tell me of the shattered world outside."
